Welcome back to another review PNW fans!! Today we're going to show you the Woodstalk Bamboo storage jars, a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to glass storage jars. There are several alternatives for cannabis storage, from the CVault (metal) containers to Dope Jars (glass) and everything in between, but these were the first bamboo jars we came across.
As you can see in the photo below, these are very nicely made with gorgeous designs etched into the lid. Let's talk about the different ones shall we?
The Woodstalk Experience:
We received the entire family of jars, from the 1/8 ounce size all the way up to the 1 ounce size. We also received a couple of "mini" jars with our logo custom etched into the lid. This type of personalization made me VERY happy and excited to own one of their jars.
When we got the jars I wasn't sure on a couple of things. First, how air tight are these? Second, what about the black ones? Will the paint wear off or chip? Because of that, we really tested these out and took longer than usual to get this review out. What we found though is that NOTHING we've done has caused the paint to wear off. There is no wearing or chipping to mar the designs.
The jars are all air tight as well, although the lid to the 1/2 ounce sized one is a little loose. It still works well as a curing jar because it is air tight and lightproof still, however it lowered the quality score a little bit.
One last thing about the construction, you can see that these are all unique and hand made from sections of bamboo. You can see the rounded, natural bottom of the jar in the photo below.
I REALLY appreciated the natural materials used and the fact that these didn't have any fossil fuels involved (except the paint of course) in making these jars. There were some quality issues sadly, but in all these are fantastic jars!
Sadly there are a couple of flaws in the jars. As you can see in the photo below, the largest jar was broken when we got it so we couldn't test it. The lid wasn't airtight any longer and doesn't sit on snug at all. This bummed me out a bit for sure!
Also, look in those bottom two images there. The drying process created a crack on the outer side that actually went through all the way and let water drip out. This would NOT have cured well had we been able to use it. Fortunately for us, only the large container arrived like this.
HOWEVER, Woodstalk provides a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and will replace any item you aren't satisfied with. That means if you get a jar with a crack or broken lid like we did then they'll replace it right away!
