REL Vapes CO2 Cartridges
Product Review: REL Vapes CO2 Cartridges

Welcome to the last review of 2017! We were able to test out the RĒL Vapes CO2 cartridges, the Nano and the Goliath. These are an Oregon recreational product licensed under the OLCC and can be found across the state.

I was very curious as to how these were going to taste and so I was excited when I got the products. Let’s chat about them real quick:

  • The Nano – Quarter gram, disposable cartridge that is their lowest price point. Available in a couple of different strains, these small and discreet and is great for someone wanting to just try their oils out.
  • The Goliath – This beast is a 1.25 gram Kanger tank style cartridge that rips like a dab rig. This is not for the beginner to the cartridge, these are for someone who wants to really dab on the go

Both pens hit very well and I was able to consume all of the oil in the pens with a minimal amount of waste. The coils lasted and I didn’t even have to recharge the Goliath once to go through the entire 1.25 grams. These seem very well constructed and we didn’t see any leakage.

Unfortunately, these didn’t taste very special or even all that tasty. The oil has a very hashy taste and is very mediocre with nothing to set it apart. These taste like any other basic CO2 oil that’s out there. The high was the same; mediocre and nothing special. Don’t get me wrong, these will melt your face but the connoisseur will be left wanting more with the lack of terpenes and flavor.

There isn’t anything wrong with the equipment, the cartridges seemed fine. The largest flaw is the price for what you get. For such a mediocre flavor, here is what you pay:

  • Nano – $22 retail, $25 after tax for a quarter gram. That’s a $100 gram folks, and no terpenes to set this apart from any other CO2 oil. I guess only paying $25 for a portable option is ok for some people, but I know of plent of better oil for much cheaper if you’re willing to get a dabbable verion instead.
  • Goliath – The cartridge tank alone is $75 retail from what I have found and the entire kit with battery is a mind-blowing $150. One…..hundred……fifty…..dollars………GTFO with that nonsense.

If these were exceptional oils with awesome terpene profiles and an experience that sends a connoisseur to the moon then I would be telling a different story, but they aren’t and so TOTALLY AREN’T WORTH THE PRICE!

The RĒL Vape line is ok and probably perfectly acceptable oil for many consumers. However with the price point and the lack of flavor, these DO NOT receive the PNWCR Badge of Approval. There are better options for oil out there, and better cartridges for a better price point.
