Subscription Review: January 2017 Dollar High Club El Primo Box
The Dollar High Club Subscription Service:
The DHC team offers three different levels to choose from ranging from $1 (yes, that’s ONE DOLLAR!) to $30 a month, so you get to choose just how much you want to get each month. This is PERFECT for those looking for an introductory option to test the waters so to speak. Let’s look at this month’s El Primo box!
The El Primo:
The El Primo is the largest box you can subscribe to from DHC, and this is the box for those who REALLY want a variety! This box came with a ton of items! This is the Connoisseur level plus glass! We got:
- Pack of RAW filter tips
- Juicy Jay Tropical Passion Hemp Blunt Wraps
- Doob tube with label
- Bee Lasso hempwick
- Clipper lighter
- Patchoulli incense cones
- Dragon bristle pipe cleaners
- Chief Greenbud Smoke Music CD
- Candy cane sherlock pipe
- Slaps x2
Once again DHC provides a great box with a COOL piece of glass. This one is a smaller version of a bong we already have. It is 5″ tall with a side barrel style diffuser. It’s branded with the Chief Greenbud and DHC logos as well, making this a unique bubbler to use or gift!
We usually get way more RAW gear, typically we get a bamboo rolling mat, filter tips & papers, a hydro stone, and other items. This time we got some tips, papers and……a paper bag? WTF team, this was a janky addition to this box and you know it!
Let’s talk about the “roach clip”. This thing left a bit to be desired, it was a plain alligator clip with no embellishments. Literally $0.50 at most at the hardware store! Should have left this one out guys, for real.
This is their top tier box, and for the low cost and no shipping this box has always been one of our top picks for a stoner subscription service. The glass we receive is always worth the $30 spent and so everything else is just gravy! We expect a little more out of them, but it’s still very worth subscribing.
Side note: DHC is one of the few that actually offer the items in their boxes in an online store, so you didn’t miss out on some of these items even though it’s way past September!
There weren’t many flaws for this service. This month’s flaws were the lack of what we call “smalls”, the janky RAW paper bag and the so-called “roach clip”. It feels like the clip was an afterthought and paper bag was completely unnecessary!
