Subscription Review: February 2017 Dollar High Club El Primo Box
Thanks for joining us PNW CannaReviews fans! You know we love to bring you new subscription boxes from our favorties, and today we have the February El Primo box from Dollar High Club with the “Legends of Hip-hop” theme.
The Dollar High Club Subscription Service:
The DHC team offers three different levels to choose from ranging from $1 (yes, that’s ONE DOLLAR!) to $30 a month, so you get to choose just how much you want to get each month. This is PERFECT for those looking for an introductory option to test the waters so to speak. Let’s look at this month’s El Primo box!
The El Primo:
The El Primo is the largest box you can subscribe to from DHC, and this is the box for those who REALLY want a variety! This box came with a ton of items! This is the Connoisseur level plus glass! We got:
- Pack of RAW filter tips
- Coll Jays 1.5″ long rolling papers
- Doob tube with label
- Bee Lasso hempwick
- Electric lighter with long tip
- Juicy Jay blunt roller
- Dragon bristle pipe cleaners
- RAW matches
- Cookies Hydrostone
- Joint tips
- Slaps x2
- Hemp blunt wraps
- Phunky Feel Tip glass joint tip
- Legends of Hiphop Steamroller pipe
Once again DHC provides a pretty good box with a nice piece of glass. The steamroller is a nice, durable, thick glass pipe which will be easy to clean. The branding will wear off eventually, but other than that it’s pretty nice.
We usually get way more RAW gear, typically we get a bamboo rolling mat, filter tips & papers, a hydro stone, and other items. This time we got some tips and some papers but other than that the other items just felt like they were tossed in randomly!
We randomly received a bowl with no glass to go with it. I mean, we have a spare bowl now but really?
This is their top tier box, and for the low cost and no shipping this box has always been one of our top picks for a stoner subscription service. The glass we receive is always worth the $30 spent and so everything else is just gravy! We expect a little more out of them, but it’s still very worth subscribing.
Side note: DHC is one of the few that actually offer the items in their boxes in an online store, so you didn’t miss out on some of these items even though it’s way past September!
There weren’t many flaws for this service. This month’s flaws were the lack of what we call smalls and what they do include felt very random and not as expertly curated as previous boxes.
They also claimed that there were two pieces of glass in the box this month but a glass joint tip doesn’t count as glass in my opinion! It’s like $3 and is just a fancy joint tip, not functional glass. Bad form on the marketing there guys.
