Product Review: 7 Pipe Pro Self-Lighting Pipe
Welcome back PNW followers! Thanks for joining us for another review here in the PNWCR HQ! Today we’re unboxing and reviewing the 7 Pipe Pro from 7 Pipe. This is a refillable, self-lighting pipe that has quickly become a favorite of our testers for how discreet it can be! Let’s talk about it now that you’ve watched the review!
The 7 Pipe Pro:
7 Pipe doesn’t scrimp on the packaging, using durable cardboard and quality foam inserts to keep the glass parts safe. Inside you find:
- 7 Pipe Pro
- Glass bowl Insert
- 2 mouthpieces
- 1 Flared
- 1 Flat
- Scrub brush
- Instruction booklet
The 7 Pipe Pro is a metal casing that surrounds a glass bowl and stem. That means you get some durability from the metal (although we did break one of the test stems on a hike when it was in an unprotected front pocket of a hoodie) but the taste and quality of a glass bowl.
Using the 7 Pipe Pro:
Fill the unit with normal butane (whichever brand you prefer) and put it together like shown in the video. Load a bowl and take a hit! There isn’t much to explain after you’ve watched the video, just make sure you take care to clean the bowl and stem out on a regular basis. The holes are small and will clog quickly if you use this on the regular!

Here is a quote from one of our friends we asked to help us test this out with. She uses this on a regular basis and helped us out with our long term test we did (this was tested for over 4 months before we did this review).
As a regular cannabis user I have come across many different pieces. Recently I have found myself in a situation not condusive to my lifestyle. Struggling to find an answer, the 7 Pipe was introduced to me. This innovative solution offered me a was to consume without offending my roommates. In combination with a Smoke Buddy I have discovered a way to live in harmony and peace.
Side Note: This piece is very fragile. It is necessary to keep it clean. The slide feature (which is my saving grace) tends to get slightly more difficult to use the more the resin collects. Final thoughts: this is an absolute life saver! Treat your pieces well and they will take care of you.

Care and Maintenance:
The glass insert cleans easily after soaking it with a cleaner like Weed Wipes. Just soak it for a little bit and then you use some dish soap and hot water to blast it clean. As long as you do this regularly this process is very quick and simple. When done add just a tad of the the Weed Wipes to a pipe cleaner and run it through the stem and the resin won’t stick as hard on the next cleaning.
The glass insert can be a bit fragile. We went for a hike and had the 7 Pipe Pro in our front pocket of our hoodie and somehow the glass stem snapped in half. It’s only $9.99 in their store to replace it, but that kind of sucked.
The slide can get gummed up with resin so you need to clean this pipe often. The slide will start going off kilter (it seems to tend to lean towards to left and you have to push it up and to the right for it to line up right to close properly) so you need to keep the resin off as much as possible.
