Utensil Review: KutzEZ Trimming Tools

We were sent a pack of KutzEZ trimming tools from Trust Point Products. These are blades currently used in a commercial setting. They wanted to see how they stood up in the cannabis world so we put them to the test!

We had a plant that went into full re-veg mode after trying to flower early. If you haven’t seen that, it’s when your cannabis plant flowers too early. This happens for many reasons (ours was because we put a plant outside too soon and didn’t get enough light). Each flower node reverts into vegetative growth, however you get all of these funky single-blade leaves that really just leach nutrients away from the rest of your plant.

We tackled the clean up job with these blades and they were an immense help! The ergonomic design allowed us to hold the tools without cramping up and we could palm them without worrying about getting cut. The blades are sharp but the guards prevent you from slicing yourself.

These are pretty low cost as well, just $1.99 for a miniĀ one, $2.99 for a single blade or $5.99 for a 3-pack (2 blades + 1 mini).

Our one real flaw is that for a disposable razor entering the cannabis world, a hemp based plastic would be a much better option. Throwing these away doesn’t sit too well with me, either allowing me to replace the blades with a snap closure or using biodegradable plastic is a must!

The KutzEZ trimming tools are a great addition to any garden and they definitely work well for cannabis plant maintenance. These receive the PNWCR Bade of Approval and will remain a staple of our garden from now on!
