How’s it going PNWCR followers! Thanks for joining us for another unboxing video! This one is a little different. We set up in the chill spot next to our pool table to show you the Homebox Ambient Q100 grow tent! Homebox is out of Germany and highly engineers their equipment to be the best around.
Growing cannabis used to be a thing that was hidden and protected to prevent going to jail for a plant. However, half of the United States has legalized medical cannabis, 4 states have legalized recreational cannabis (thank god for my home state, Oregon!), and something like 6 more are poised for recreational cannabis. That means we need to change our thinking and pull this plant into the future. So, let’s talk about the Ambient.
Homebox Ambient Q100:
- 100 x 100 x 200 cm
- Par+ white lining
- Patent-pending Omni Flow air vents
- Blackout zippers
- 2 zip out panels for easy of viewing
- Double bottom liner for more durability
- 2-year manufacturer’s warranty
The poles are durable aluminum making this lightweight but strong enough to move around without worry of bending the poles. The connector pieces are durable plastic. I would LOVE to see these as hemp based plastics in the future.
The Par+ lining is a white reflective lining designed to maximize light usage while minimizing heat within the tent. Pair this with my OG Hood from Growlite and overheating shouldn’t be an issue!Lastly, the Omni Flow air vents help with heat & air flow and can be arranged for multiple different venting options.
The tent is a beige color that is actually quite professional and pleasing to look at. No more black tents that scream hide me!! Put it next to your washing machines, place it in your den, put it anywhere where you have an outlet and a place to vent your heat. This is the grow house of tomorrow!
Finally, setup. Setting this up was very easy actually!! I was able to set this up, start to finish, in under 30 minutes. The most difficult part was putting the canvas cover on and I was able to do that by myself with just a little bit of patience.
As with all products nothing is perfect. However, we’ve only found a couple so far!
First is availability. This is a German product sold all over Europe, however their site only shows one shop in the US selling the Ambient tent. That means they need some help with distribution in the US!
Next, price. This is approximately $225 USD and you can find grow tents this size for as low as $165 USD. So, just a little pricey.
I hope you enjoyed our unbox and setup review of the Homebox Ambient Q100 grow tent. It was very easy to set up and is made from quality materials. For now, we’re happy to give the PNWCR Badge of Approval to Homebox for the Ambient! Please check back at the end of the grow season when we will follow up with a review of growing cannabis indoors using this tent and the OG Reflector from Growlite. We will update our review score then!
