“Hempy Holidaze” El Primo Box from Dollar High Club
Hempy Holidaze PNW fans! Thanks for joining us for another subscription review and thanks for watching our unboxing of the December 2016 El Primo box from Dollar High Club!
This is their top tier box, and for the low cost and no shipping this box has always been one of our top picks for a stoner subscription service. As you can see, we got the usual assortment of smalls and slaps, the RAW items we’ve all come to expect and then they stepped up their game a bit for Christmas!
The Dollar High Club Subscription Service:
The DHC team offers three different levels to choose from ranging from $1 (yes, that’s ONE DOLLAR!) to $30 a month, so you get to choose just how much you want to get each month. This is PERFECT for those looking for an introductory option to test the waters so to speak. Let’s look at this month’s El Primo box!
The El Primo:
The El Primo is the largest box you can subscribe to from DHC, and this is the box for those who REALLY want a variety! This box came with a ton of items! This is basically the Connoisseur level plus glass! We got:
- Pack of RAW filter tips
- Juicy Jay candy cane flavor papers
- Pack of hemp blunt wraps (no tobacco)
- Doob tube with label
- Bee Lasso hempwick
- RAW Clipper lighter
- Myrrh incense sticks
- Incense ash catcher
- Dragon bristle pipe cleaners
- HUF Plantlife socks
- Candy cane sherlock pipe
Like I said they stepped it up a bit for the holidaze! First, they give the gift of the wise men and deliver Myrrh to our doorsteps! If you’re an incense person then you’ll enjoy the earthy, piney and lemony aroma and its paired with an elegant looking ash catcher.
Then, to make sure we stay warm we get a pair of HUF Plant Life Clothing socks! The white socks with green pot leaves are knee high and will help keep my fiance warm this chilly winter! Sadly, these are too narrow for me to wear, but maybe HUF will let me sport a hoodie of theirs some day!
Finally, we get a glass candy cane pipe! Now, personally I won’t smoke out of it unless I break my other pieces. However, to me it’s art and will go up on our tree as an ornament! That alone is worth the cost of the box, I’ve spent more on fancy ornaments!
Side note: DHC is one of the few that actually offer the items in their boxes in an online store, so you didn’t miss out on some of these items even though it’s way past September!
There weren’t many flaws for this service. The major flaw this month was the lack of functionality of the sherlock. I appreciate the artistry of the glass and I will use it as an ornament for years to come, but for a smoker’s box this isn’t that functional really. While I think they stepped up the aesthetic here like I said above, that same choice is a double edged sword that sliced them just a bit as well.
